You can experience the diverse landscape by boat, through lakes and along rivers and many historic connecting canals. Perhaps you would like to enjoy a shopping excursion to Brandenburg by boat? Or else, find a quiet bay for a picnic on the water? Many sandy beaches invite swimmers and sunbathers alike.

Unspoiled nature
Brandenburg, with its flat and slightly hilly topography, is an ideal region for hikers and bikers to explore the numerous cultural points of interest and nature's beauty. Many welcoming inns are to be found along the way where you can rest and refresh yourself.

Sightseeing destinations are just around the corner
As well as the Sanssouci castle in Potsdam, there are 500 castles and manors waiting to be toured on a nostalgic trip through Prussia's history. Are you familiar with the cathedral in Brandenburg? Or Ribbek, a nice village in the beautiful landscape Havelland, known from the poem by Theodor Fontane? An excursion to Tangermuende on the Elbe river, with its very well-preserved city centre, and to Havelberg, Wiesenburg and the Lehnin Monastery are worthwhile destinations.

Berlin, a cultural and historic metropolis
With the Brandenburg Ticket, you and up to four companions can travel to Berlin by train for next-to-nothing and while there use all public transportation free of charge for the day.

Plan your personal city tour; for example take the number 100 double-decker bus from Kurfurstendam via Tiergarten, passing the legislature buildings and Brandenburger Tor to Alexanderplatz, visit the Potsdamer Platz and explore the arts market on the Strasse des 17. Juni street, go to the Scheunenviertel or the zoo or take a city tour by boat. Countless exhibitions and museums, castles and coffee houses, invite you to come in and savour the moment.
